#happy2022workday day-076
Happy 2022 day-076! Today’s copy-paste from the chat…
Exactly a year ago we tried doing “The Sharing Show” without it’s co-founder Kane (actually, the show is Kane’s idea, just as Share-dates and Share-toons are not my ideas.. all 3 of these came from sharing fans who have suggested them as parts of the Customer Sharing Movement.)
Well, yesterday we tried it again without Kane. After some initial challenges, we were up and sharing from our roundtable CIRCLES discussion about #Workday Obsession, Custom Report Naming Convention (CRNC) and Calculated Fields Naming Convention (CFNC).
One final glitch is that people could not copy the chat at the end, so here goes (see Comments as it splits into parts…)
Season IV Episode I of “The Sharing Show” chat, Part 1
CSF = Chat Sharing Fan
CSF01: Much more obsessed lately since it keeps growing and so many more feature and areas of expansion.
CSF02: My 1st love was PeopleSoft and married to PS for 20 years before I saw beautiful young sister of PS and fall in to love with Workday from last 3 years
CSF03: I’ve been using PeopleSoft since 1992 and we just signed Workday; I’m obsessed with Dave Duffied; so I’m obsessed with Workday 🙂
CSF04: Fell in love when i encountered calculated fields. Can’t see a WD life without them!
CSF05: Like WD as always something new to learn daily!
CSF06: My first life was in not-for-profit management, but then I learned about ERP’s, starting my journey with PeopleSoft, moved to Lawson/XM. Went live with a Workday implementation July 1, 2021. My obsession is slowly building.
CSF07: We name our integrations and reports with INT1234 followed by name. Use the navigation to Reporting or Integrations to find what we are looking for.
CSF08: administrative drain
CSF02: We also use naming standards for Integration reports and standard reports. We also use extensive naming standards in our integration area.
CSF09: we don’t use a numbering convention on reports but we do use report tags to categorize our reports and strive to add descriptions for each so folks know what the report does
