The very first Workday Share-a-thon was focused on Reporting. It took place online, over 4 years ago, in April 2016. Here is the link to the YouTube video preparing participants for this 3-day sharing event.

We had several popular reporting topics such as Beginners, Report Users (not developers), Dashboards, Matrix and Composite Reports, and Calculated Fields. The way we approached covering several topics with over 300 registrations (which was a lot back in 2016) was to split into 4 corners. Each corner had a “Lead” as well as “Helpers.”

For the first 2 days we had 4 WebEx sessions running simultaneously for 3 hours on both days. On the 3rd and final day we all joined the same WebEx and shared the highlights from our corner sessions.

Since that first Share-a-thon over 4 years ago, I have facilitated over 30 days of Share-a-thons – Some remote (like the first Reporting Share-a-thon), and some in-person (like the past 4 years of Pre-Rising Share-a-thons).
