Hi, I’m David, The Sharing Guy. I learned early on in my Workday career that having a network of colleagues and friends to share with was as important as knowledge of the system. I feel this way because the system is so large that even super users like Logan could only be an expert in a small piece of the pie. Workday continues to grow exponentially while we users are limited by our individual experience and knowledge.
The seeds of Workday Share-a-thons started over 5 years ago when I posted on Community asking if others wanted to join me in sharing some reporting best practices. The response was overwhelming. 100s of comments. 1,000s of page views. During dozens of sharing events since, I’ve witnessed how much customers appreciate having a network of colleagues and friends who are experienced in common areas of Workday. Nothing beats timely guidance from other customers who have been there, who understand how just a few pointers can save hours of searching, and who remember what it was like when somebody first helped guide them.
